Energy Matters Community Coalition

seeks to reduce local contributions to global warming          to increase the health and prosperity of our          communities through smart public and private          energy choices.

TIPS OF THE MONTH

SAVE GAS ON GRASS MOWING!!!

  • Reduce or eliminate fertilizers to slow growth
  • Mow less frequently-grass actually has a better chance of crowding out weeds if left to grow higher.
  • Convert grassy areas to mulched or planted beds
  • Plant a vegetable garden and eat local food!
  • If you live in the country--grow a meadow of native wild grasses and flowers
